b'Media New Student Release TrusteesWelcomedAntonie-Marie Skead Maxwell Froese Elizabeth FavreaugrowingThree students were sworn into the role of Student Trustee, at the start of the school year, with the addition of the Boards first Indigenous Student Trustee.At the May 18, 2021, Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to include a third Student Trustee to represent the voice and perspective of First Nation, Mtis, and Inuit (FNMI) students across the system. Student Trustees serve a vital role at the boardroom table, representing students in decisions about education and keeping their peers informed about important information that impacts their education.They make monthly reports at the Regular Board Meetings, attend provincial conferences,and are called upon to be involved in special projects for the Board.Students at St. Thomas Aquinas High School produced fantastic films for theFestival de Thatre de Jeunesse and swept the categories bringing home trophies! St. John Paull II School community is excited to share their new school logo and sports logo as they move forward with changing their name from Pope John Paul II School to St. John Paul II School. The new logos were chosen with student voice at the forefront through a voting process that saw 278 people respond, with 171 of those ballots belonging to students from Kindergarten through to Grade 6.The designs reflect the excellence the school strives for in all The school has a areas of learning, growth and spiritual development toward brand new Cardinals being stewards of positive change.
