b'Students took part in an experientiallearning challenge of planning andconstructing a Stations of the Crossexperience for the community withinthe Kenora Catholic Campus andgained valuable learning along the way. Elizabeth FavreauHope was alive and well at St. Thomas Aquinas High School as part of the 20202021 Catholic Education Week themeNurturing Hope.The art installation displayed in the foyerincluded six floating angels and featured live plants breathing new life, oxygen and growth into the school as students and staff watched the live display flourish. The living artworkwas donated to the Lake of the WoodsDistrict Hospital at the end of the schoolyear to bring hope to the community. As part of St. John Schools Nature School program, students in Grade 5/6 got to plant vegetables and herbs. When the school transitioned to virtual learning, each student was delivered their own plant to care for. The plant sparked many conversations, and students enjoyed showingoff their plants growth through virtual classroom sessions. Fast forward to this fall, and the Kindergarten class loved investigating and harvesting the pepper plants and were amazed to discover 72 peppers!!Nearly eight months later, and the plants arecontinuing to grow and produce fruit in the windows of the Kindergarten classroom!2021 ANNUAL DIRECTORS REPORT 9'
