b'growingWauzhushk Onigum Nation welcomed students to the 15th Annual Fall Harvest.This year marks the 15th year for the partnership with Wauzhushk Onigum Nationand the Kenora Catholic District School Board. The fall harvest is an opportunity for students to learn about the traditional Anishinaabeculture and ways of living including harvesting, hunting, cooking and crafting. Through our Northern Studies Program, students get to explore traditions and activities of First Nation, Mtis and Inuit people of our region with hands-on learning opportunities. The program is a collaboration between Kenora Catholic, Kenora Mtis Council, Grand Council Treaty #3 and multiple neighbouring First Nation communities. The program helps develop an understanding of thecultural significance in our area while learning the basics of the Ojibway language.Overall, it helps to strengthen relationships with peoples of all nations.10 2022 ANNUAL DIRECTORS REPORT'
